For our UK orders, there are two automatic delivery attempts. This means that if the recipient is not present, the driver will leave a calling card and will attempt one further delivery on the next available working day. If the recipient gets in touch, they can request redelivery on a different date; there is no limit on the amount of requests that can be made. If the recipient has not got in touch after the two automatic delivery attempts, the order will be returned to the depot and held for 48 hours until further instructions from the customer or from Fortnum & Mason. If it is not too late, a request for the parcel to be left with the neighbour or in a safe place can be done. Please note that, in these circumstances, we are unable to waive any costs for repostage, or refund the original postage costs. |
