In keeping with Hospitality Industry Regulations, Fortnum & Mason welcomes Assistance Dogs in all of our restaurants. Please be advised of the following details:
What is an Assistance Dog?
Assistance dogs are dogs that have usually been trained to support people with a wide range of disabilities, including those relating to non-visual and visual, hearing or mobility impairments and conditions. Emotional Support Animals are also included. Assistance dogs will usually have formal identification tags, but this is not a necessary requirement. All assistance dogs are allowed by law to accompany their owner at all times in places within the UK, and all organisations and establishments must adhere to this request.
Please note that dogs must be well-behaved and carried or on a fixed lead. Customers must be in full control of their dogs at all times and are fully responsible for their dogs’ behaviour. If a dog is disruptive or aggressive in any way, we can ask the owner to leave the store or restaurant.
As a result, please be advised that this welcome does not extend to family household pets.
